10 Tips For Meditation

 • Make a regular time to meditate in the morning or evening, even if it’s just for 10 minutes a day.

• Find a quiet spot, turn off the lights and put on some relaxing music. If you’re finding it hard to relax, try lighting some incense sticks.

• Sit comfortably upright on the floor or in a chair.

• Gently withdraw your attention from all sights and sounds and become the observer of your own thought process.

• Don’t tell yourself to stop thinking but be aware of your thoughts. Do not judge.

• Visualise yourself as being peaceful, quiet and still.

• Be aware of the silence behind the thought. Don’t fight any other thoughts or memories that come into your head, instead watch them pass by.

• Acknowledge and appreciate how you feel whilst meditating. Be stable in these feelings for a few minutes.

• Write down anything that came through during your meditation.

• Try different places and ways of meditating and see what works for you.
